With a full room of spectators and a full plate on the City Council agenda, the matter of Ed Craig's City Manager's position is on the line. With 4 votes against him, by Jean Pruitt, Al Stephenson, Lee Roy Cunningham, and Thomas Landers, his contract would not be renewed. Therefore, he would recieve 6 months of his pay that is left on his contract and continue his insurance benefits. A meeting has been set for October 8, 2009, the Shelbyville Tn City Council has asked the City Manager, Ed Craig to resign last night, Sept 29th. City Czar Ed Craig has agreed to resign October 8th.
BREAKING NEWS - are Ed Craig and Kip Green FIRED?!
The City Manager, Ed Craig and the Director of Zoning and Codes, Kip Green are under a storm of controversy due to the nature of what was found on Mr. Green's computer. Mr. Green allegedly misused the city computer to look at adult material deemed inappropriate in nature. When all was said and done, the City Manager decided it was ok, and ignored the issue. When pressed about it, he allegedly threw a temper tantrum and screamed, "What is wrong with you Christians?!" I guess simple work ethics are not in question but someone's religion is?
